Why choose this system

What you get over a standard coating.

Thermal shock resistance

Expands and contracts close to concrete, so it survives steam cleaning, hot oil and freezer cycles that crack epoxy.

Moisture tolerant

Can go over green or damp concrete where epoxy would blister.

Chemical resistance

Holds up to lactic, citric and other food acids, plus fats, oils and sanitizers.

Slip-resistant options

Broadcast aggregate adds traction in wet production areas.

How we install it

Prep is what makes a floor last. Every install follows the same process.

  1. Shot-blast or grind the slab
  2. Saw-cut anchor terminations at edges, drains and joints
  3. Mix and place the three-component urethane cement slurry
  4. Optional aggregate broadcast for traction
  5. Optional urethane cement topcoat for color and cleanability

Urethane Cement Slurry Flooring FAQ

Straight answers to the questions we hear most.

Why urethane cement instead of epoxy in a kitchen?

Epoxy can crack and delaminate under hot water, steam and cooking oil. Urethane cement is built for thermal shock and food acids.

How thick is a urethane cement slurry floor?

Typically 1/8" to 1/4", depending on traffic, temperatures and slip-resistance needs.

Can it go into coolers and freezers?

Yes. It handles cold temperatures and the temperature swings of walk-ins and freezer rooms.

How fast can the kitchen reopen?

Many urethane cement installs return to service quickly. We'll schedule around your closed hours.
