Why choose this system

What you get over a standard coating.

Chemical resistance

Formulated to resist phosphate-ester hydraulic fluids like Skydrol, plus jet fuel, oils and cleaners that destroy standard garage epoxies.

FOD control

A seamless, non-dusting surface with no grout lines or cracks for debris to hide in. Bright white or light gray finishes make dropped parts easy to find.

Light reflectivity

High-gloss light colors bounce overhead light back up under wings and fuselages, so techs see better and you can run fewer fixtures.

Built for heavy loads

Handles tugs, jacks, tow bars and rolling tool chests without chipping, and resists hot tire pickup.

How we install it

Prep is what makes a floor last. Every install follows the same process.

  1. Diamond-grind or shot-blast the slab to open the concrete
  2. Repair cracks, spalls and control joints
  3. Prime with a penetrating epoxy
  4. Install the self-leveling body coat
  5. Seal with a chemical-resistant topcoat, with optional anti-slip and safety striping

Aircraft Hangar Flooring FAQ

Straight answers to the questions we hear most.

What is the best flooring for an aircraft hangar?

A seamless self-leveling resinous system with a chemical-resistant topcoat. It resists Skydrol and jet fuel, won't dust, and gives you a bright, easy-clean surface for FOD control.

Will the floor hold up to Skydrol?

Yes. Hangar systems use a topcoat specifically rated for phosphate-ester hydraulic fluids. Standard garage epoxy is not, which is why it softens and stains in hangars.

How long does a hangar floor take?

Most hangars are prepped and coated in a few days depending on size, slab condition and cure time. We schedule around your aircraft movements.

Do you work on military and air-base hangars?

Yes. We install on air bases, army bases and commercial aviation facilities across Southern California.
