How much does an industrial floor coating cost per square foot?
It depends almost entirely on the system and the condition of the existing slab. A roll-coat epoxy in a clean warehouse sits at the low end; a full urethane cement slurry with coved base, drain detail and slope work sits at the high end. Prep and repair scope — grinding, shot blasting, crack and spall repair, moisture mitigation — often moves the number more than the topcoat does. How long will my facility be down?
Most commercial installs run one to five days depending on square footage and system. If you cannot give up that window, MMA and rapid-cure systems can go down overnight or over a single weekend and return to service in about an hour after the final coat. Do your systems meet FDA and USDA requirements?
Yes. Our urethane cement systems are designed for food manufacturing, packaging and serving facilities, meet FDA and USDA standards, and are engineered to withstand daily steam cleaning while resisting bacterial growth. We provide full technical data sheets for your QA team and inspectors.
Can you coat over our existing floor?
Sometimes — it depends on what's down and how well it's bonded. We test adhesion and moisture before recommending an overlay. If the existing coating is disbonding, contaminated or the slab is driving vapor, coating over it just buys a few months. We'll tell you plainly which situation you're in.
What about slip resistance and safety compliance?
Texture is specified to the zone. Wet processing areas, ramps and apparatus bays get aggressive broadcast aggregate; areas that need frequent sanitation get a profile that's slip-resistant but still cleanable. We'll match texture to your traffic, sanitation cycle and safety requirements rather than applying one finish everywhere.
